Music of the Li Brothers 亲亲菘菘音乐会

Just came back from the concert 2 hours ago. The concert is part of the 华艺 festival 2006. We bought tickets from Category 2 and was sitting at the 3rd row from the stage! It's an up-close-n-personal experience at a concert! But I must say it's worth the price to pay for!


I think it's a pretty interesting concert. A concert that brings back loads of memories of the past. The walk down memory lane was filled with special guests performances.. Singers whom we are all so familiar with but yet have not seen them performed for a long while.. Songs of past tv serials which we grew up listening to.. Full of lots n lots of surprises!


Guests includes 刘雪芳，陈彼得，蔡礼莲，叶良俊，田劲，郑展伦，吴庆康，彭佳慧，黄义达... And of cos not forgetting the 2 stars of the night... 李伟菘，李偲菘. Other than the star studded guests list.. there are alot of stars amongst the audience too! Amongst whom are 洪绍轩 who's sitting right behind me, Sun Ho who's a few rows behind us.


The concert kicked off with the 2 brothers singing the theme song for 最后一个大侠.... OMG OMG OMG... it's such an old song but yet it brought back so much memories!
刘雪芳 sang theme songs from the drama 迷离夜. It's been such a long time since she made a public appearance I guess let alone to sing her sing! Her singing is still so good! 田劲 still looks so well built...，叶良俊 looks so hype now! He sure looks like he shed quite a fair bit of weight (he's already quite average build in the past!) 蔡礼莲 still sang soooooooooo beautifully as usual...


When 陈彼得 came on, thoughts flashed through my mind... What happens when <> meets <>... (In case anyone goes blur, 陈彼得 is one of the judges for the former and 李伟菘 is one of the judges for the latter) And what'll happen is what we see on stage! Haha... I'm korny I know :P


It's really fantastic to see so many singers all in one night.. singing songs which are so familiar to all. Listening to 郑展伦's <<我会用真心填满你的孤单>> was so wonderful. Always liked this song...listening to him sing live is soooooooooooo WOW... 动人的歌声，感人的歌词，牵动着我的心。


It's my first time seeing 彭佳慧 in person. OMG.. she's soooooooooooooooo petite!!! And she has a FABULOUS complexion!!! OMG OMG OMG........ And of cos not forgetting her ever so powerful voice.


Then another surprise was from 黄义达. Didn't realise that he'll sound so "沧桑" when singing live. But then I must admit he sure did well singing live. Never know he could sound so different live... For the better I feel...Great job!


Throughout the concert, the Li Brothers had the instructors & students from their music school to perform as well. One of them looked so much like 启胜 from 爱琴海。Thought I mistook someone else for 启胜，it was when the singer mentioned his name then it was confirmed that the singer is indeed 启胜 himself. I really didn't realise he's a full time instructor at Lee Wei Song School Of Music That's quite a surprise... 启胜 is a great musician, always liked his performance in 爱琴海 but didn't know he's teaching music as a full time job! Ok, I guess I'm 孤落寡闻 la...


偲菘's rendition of <<听说爱情回来过>> is something different from the usual female soft sentimental version that I've heard. The song still brings floods of memories, emotions, thoughts.. It's a beautiful song with beautiful lyrics.. Lovely lovely song.. The 2 brothers sang the 主打歌 from their 1st album.... 载歌载舞... other than singing, dancing... the audience were fed with an eye feast of costumes n vcr clips of artistes wishing them success in the concert, clips of the 1985/1986 斗歌竞艺! Seeing 李伟菘 in his 80's looks, I guess most audience would agree he looks better now! Haha...(Hey, that's what he hopes too! He asked the audience this qn on stage! :P)


And of cos the biggest surprise for both the Li Brothers and all audience was the appearance of Sun Yanzi towards the end of the concert. She was supposed to be busy and not able to attend the concert. They had a vcr of Yanzi congratulating the brothers and wishing them all the best for their concert. At the end of the concert, the 2 brothers were busy reading off the list of names they wanted to thank. As they read off the last name, Yanzi was there standing at the corner of the stage with 2 bouquets of flowers. Her appearance shocked everyone but it was a pleasant surprise indeed! She sang 天黑黑 at the concert! I'm really seeing her from a rather close distance from the stage! I was sitting somewhere soooooooooo far away during her concert in January. Even those who bought Cat 1 tickets for her concert wasn't able to see her at such a close distance due to the venue...Now I'm watching her sing at such close distance at her 恩师's concert! So cool!!!! Her appearance totally drove her fans krazee!!!
