前几天感冒了, 情况是严重的吧
睡着睡着竟然会因为全身酸痛到不能侧躺
非得翻身不可
也因感冒便得完全没胃口
一想到食物都想吐了更何况是吃呢
几天下来, 几乎是没吃什么...

现在的我好饿啊....
饿得几乎睡不着....
睡不着也许是这几天已经把睡觉 "quota" 用尽了!
所以... 现在怎么都无法入眠...
脑海里想的就是该到那里买美味的早餐!

Sharks + ice cream == diabetes??? --- The story unveiled

I think I'll get hamtum for sharing this silly story but I think it is really cute and really wanna blog it down...
To parties concern...erm.. pls dont take it too hard ya? I'm sure u know it's meant as a joke ya? =P

One day at work, got a msg from a fren that he missed his flight
FOund it a bit amusing .. probably he's the last person I'll expect to be huff miss the flight ba...
I mentioned it to my team mate at work, P

N our story starts from there..

Me: my fren just missed his flight to sg! think I shall suggest to him to swim here with the ice cream

P: how can u ask ur fren to do tat? got sharks u noe

Me: Oh got sharks in that area? never mind la, at most I'll see a skeleton + ice cream when he finally reach sg ma

P: No....

Me: Oh.... ya .. ice cream will melt along the way.. ok ok.. I'll see skeleton + tubs of MILK SHAKE!

P: NO... the shark will eat up the milk shake! And next day newspaper headlines will show that a shark is found to be diagnosed with diabetes .. which is rarely found in sharks.

Me: Eh.. he gonna bring quite a lot of tubs this time.. so probably more sharks will get it instead of just ONE shark?

P: OK... that will alert the authorities to come out with ways to help sharks reduce weight to help ease the diabetes problem. and pple may write a white paper for it..

Me: Ok....if u ever see such a white paper... it may be from me.. so remember to read it ok?

P: OK...

Me: N since diabetes can be passed on to generations thereafter genetically it is important they help sharks reduce weight...
And maybe...after sharks start to grow smaller in sizes pple might just forget abt the idea of eating sharks fins since they'll no longer find any joy in eating small fins!

P: OOii.. u ok or not?? U no eat medicine today izzit?

Me: ..... Ya =P

For a moment I thought it was getting late and I was hallucinating...

Some weeks later, SS saw this and took a picture ...

Just added some new links to the blog
added some misc ones, some celebrity's blog and friend's blog too.

I'm not waiting for Hedy to give the go ahead to post her link in my blog....Haha.. but anyway.. she didn't post anything that is not meant for public viewing "yet" ma.. >:P

As for the celebrity's ones... some are blogs that I read rather frequently.. partly cos I listen to their radio programmes.. or at least see them on tv before.. like their humour sometimes.. some are new links discovered during those few days when I was hibernating at home to prepare for exams.. (erm.. YES I did spend time preparing for exams too haha...I need to relax though I know I need to mug hard ;P)

Just discovered Patricia Mok's blog site on one of the blog sites.. She's sharing abt shopping and makan tips.. It should be a rather interesting site to visit if you happen to be running out of ideas about where to go and what to do.. :)

I'm not exactly a fan of xiaxue...but I read one of her entry on her experience watching movie at Yang Tze cinema..it was hilarious.. Now I know why her blog is so popular... The same goes to Mr Brown I guess. He sure have a unique sense of humour. Do read his column in Friday's edition of TODAY... it's a good way to start the day by reading what interesting view he has ;P

I'm surprised to see an old fren on tv..
But on the other hand, I feel very happy for him..
Happy that he's still in Singapore..
Happy that he's doing well now.. better than the past..
Happy that he's finally doing something he's been wanting to do...
I'm really very happy for him...

Vandalism

Was in the washroom at some certain shopping centre in Singapore.
The walls and doors are badly vandalised by students (I presumed its done by students as there've been traces of school names, classes being mentioned everywhere).
I found something in a corner which I think its quite nicely written.
Nah..I'm not trying to encourage vandalism. It's not right definitely..

Can't remember exactly what it says. But it's talking about A who has crashed B's dreams. B was forced to wake up from the dream unwillingly and hopes A will not leave B to face it alone....It was written in chinese n I think the flow was nice. I have this impression it's written by a Secondary school student. If the author is just a teenager, I think she has great potential!

If the author could make use of her talent to write poems or short stories, I'm sure she'll do a great job! Why write on walls??? I'm sure there's a lot of other places where u can write...抒发情绪是没错的，但是请注意管道。

Spring Cleaning

Did a pretty thorough spring cleaning this yr for cny...
It was a good thing that cny eve falls on a sat this yr.. At least fri night is a good chance for doing spring cleaning and the next day not being first day of the new yr...


Went for movies on Fri night.. started only after midnight that day........Spent almost 12 hrs on it.. Never threw away so much things in my life! ha...


Anyway was going through the box of cards n letters one by one.. Was trying to sieve thru so that I can throw away the old ones... Was trying not to throw away dory's letters (we made an agreement to meet up next yr to celebrate our 20th "anniversary" and to re-read the letters we exchanged back then.. sure to bring back lots of memories n sure to be quite funny .. ) by mistake...


As I go through the list, I saw letters from TMM... OMG OMG.... seriously the terms "darling", "dar" etc etc... made my goose bumps commit suicide that night!!! OMG... what a gross thought... made a conscious effort to SKIP the "suspicious" cards & letters from him n threw them into the bin directly from then on! ha....


Anyway..here's the end result of my neat neat room after a whole night long of spring cleaning.. so proud of myself.. It's been long long time since my room is such a neat state! :P

So happy to own their cds now.


Many yrs back saw some compilation sold in HMV shelves... But was short of cash to purchase cd then.. so dropped the idea.. But when I had the cash n headed back to HMV when the cash came in the cds were no longer sitting on the shelves.. Tried asking the counter staff but they either gave a "HUH" a.k.a. BLANK look (as though I was an alien from outer space speaking alien language!!! How absurd! Wonder how they can be assigned to man the classical music counter when they have absolutely no idea what acapella means or that there are indeed acapella groups in Singapore??) Was really disappointed for missing the chance to get their albums back then..


I was thrilled knowing that the albums are sold in the Esplanade shop.. How can I let go of the chance to buy their albums again ya???


*Yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee* Shall start listening to them in office tomorrow! :)

When they say an album is released today....

it means you probably can't find it in any of the stores....

NOT cos it's all sold out..but cos the stocks r not in yet!

Long username?

Just got suanned by Jo for using such LOooOOOooooooooooooong username for this blog..

He suggested I could make it longer n use names like Readallaboutmythoughts or nobodybutmegotthissuperlongname .. Mega suan!! OMG...

Hmm...But what I wanna say is... I'm pretty "自恋" & "自负" one... I like it..

No matter what I will stick on to it till a point in time in the future when I feel there's a need to abundant it... which will not be in the near future ;P

Yummy pasta...

Was out for a shopping trip with 2 colleagues today in town and we stopped by at Fin Seafood Cafe @ Marina Square for lunch. It's a rather cosy place... not a very big cafe but I must say they really do have some interesting items on their menu.

They don't really offer much variety however their creativity in the menu items are really worth a try.

We shared a serving of Calamari for sides.. Not too bad...... not a big serving so it was just nice for sides just before the main course.
Calyn had Fish n Chips while Jessica had the Fish Fingers n Chips. The comment for Fish Fingers was that it was kinda oily. Not much comment from me since I didn't try it. :)

I had the Soft Shell Crab Spaghetti in Chilli Crab Sauce for main course...Interesting combination I thought... Italian with Jap n Chinese (or rather local flavour....) I admit I am quite a pasta person to begin with. However

the unique combination in the dish was enticing enough for me to try it I guess...
so decided to be adventurous for once.. was just crossing my fingers that it won't turn out to be too spicy since I can't really take spicy food lately. But hey it did turn out well. I loved my main course. Its really interesting.. the soft shell crab was fried till crispy and the sauce was just nice .. not too spicy .. it adds an interesting flavour to the whole dish. But I do find the sauce a little too diluted though.. perhaps if its a little thicker and more concentrated the taste might be better? But overall its really nice...

I'll recommend to stop by and try the spaghetti when you are around the area. Another thing to note is that they do not charge service charge or GST at the shop. So what you pay is Nett as per what you see in the menu :)

However, they do not serve iced water there.. so be sure to order a drink together with your meal when you are there. And .. oh yes.. they did add an unique line of 'disclaimer' at the bottom page of their menu. So kewl.. so creative. :)

Not very sure what I'm gonna do yet.
But I guess it should comprise of the following ba:

1) Comprains, comprains n more comprains?

2) To share some interesting phrases from books (erm.. chinese books of cos..... I'm cheena la :P no la.. actually cos I lazee to find an author who writes a English book that can catch my attention long enough to last through the whole book (other than Harry Potter.. haha) .. So, if someone do have some good recommendations, pls do tell me okies...)

3) I have decided to make this site known to more friends now...so I guess I will refrain from posting anything _too_ personal. hahaa... Will source for a "permanent" place for my private postings.. Will inform my VIPs once I've found a new home for that purpose. =)

4) Maybe some of my sketches.. (erm...if I think they are nice enough...n if I ever start trying to sketch at all....)

5) Some photos .. perhaps? Not decided..

Why a new nick? Why this Nick?

Why a new nick?

1) I am trying to break away from my old nick..
Think I'm getting too "old" for it.. ha..

2) I think I'm too "predictable". People who do know me will know the "std" nick I will always use..
Hence it becomes easily traceable.. Hey I'm trying to be a little more mysterious here okies... :P

3) For a fresh start? So I can "filter" some "unwanted guests"? ;)

4) Cos ... I want to change my blog? Hope to get a little more inspired to do up some "customised" designs for myself.... (a) To occupy time by doing something constructive... (b) To be unique - be it nice or not...haha.. (c) Hopefully can get freelance projects from my "beautiful" artwork. haha..

Why this nick?

I have tried with a few nicks. They were just a little far from being "perfect" till one day I chance upon the word "marchen" (i.e. fairy tale in german). Wanted to use it for my nick but was mentally prepared its gonna be commonly used. True enough, I didn't managed to get myself registered under this nick. Insisted on using this nick, so I wanted to find a word to concatenate with "marchen".

Now.. why "dainty"... Wait.. Alright, I know those who knows me are starting to puke right now. I admit okies.. I'm juz fair from being dainty. It's really really a word I don't think I will ever use to describe myself. Haha. But why the word then?

Few months back, there's this day.. my mgr came by and I suddenly heard him saying this.. ".... U are very dainty le.."... When I heard it.. I almost fainted.. I was bursting into laughter in my heart.. My goodness!!! Seriously I don't think any of my friends would describe me as dainty..... I won't even say that abt myself.. I emailed Eugene the same day to tell him abt it.. He almost flipped by the comment too and suanned me back saying that he's glad I agree that I am NOT dainty at all! Told him he could be a little more subtle abt it haha...

Anyway, back to main topic... Well why am I still using the word since I don't agree with it?

1) Cos no one's using it.. It's unique combination...

2) Since this is nothing but just a fairy tale.. I can be dainty in an imaginery world right? Just don't wake me up from it.. hahaha...
